Samantha B. Benson, MD
Born in Elberton, Georgia, Dr. Samantha B. Benson attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA, where she graduated summa cum laude. She graduated first in her class at the Emory University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency training and subsequently served as Chief Resident in internal medicine. After graduating, Dr. Benson spent 3 years in private practice in the Alpharetta and Suwanee area before opening Internal Medicine Associates of Johns Creek in February of 2005.
Tiffany E. Edwards, MD
A native of Atlanta, Dr. Tiffany E. Edwards attended Spelman College graduating cum laude. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta, GA where she also completed her residency training in Internal Medicine. Dr. Edwards participated in many research opportunities throughout the years, and designed a clinical trial as a postdoctoral fellow for her alma mater to determine the role of Cardiac MRI in Myocardial Sarcoidosis. She also worked to open the Small Animal imaging Lab at MCG’s Cancer Research center with Dr. Tom C-C Hu. After graduating from MCG June 2010, moved back to her hometown of 23 years to join the Internal Medicine Associates of Johns Creek.
Aileen M. Norden, MD
A native of Illinois, Dr. Norden received her undergraduate education at Northwestern University, and then completed her medical education at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Norden then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She brings experience serving as an Instructor in Clinical Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine, and prior to joining Internal Medicine Associates of Johns Creek, she served as a hospitalist at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA.
Karon Dunn, FNP-C
Born in Butler, Georgia. Attended MCCG School of Nursing in Macon, Ga., Diploma in Nursing. Brenau University in Gainesille for BSN and GA. State University College of Health Sciences in veor MSN. Credentialed after boards by the forCC and AANP.actitioner. A member of the Honor Society in Nursing, Sigma T Tau.C worked in Medicine since 1973. Became a Nurse Practitioner in 1996 a. Ain Alpharetta, Ga. for an Internal Medicine Practice for 9 years before joining Dr. Benson’s practice.
Michelle Hall, FNP-C
Born in Oneida, Tennessee. She attended North Georgia College and State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, as well as her Master of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Honor Society in Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, as well as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has worked in various areas of medicine for over 15 years. Prior to obtaining her FNP degree, she worked in an Allergy & Asthma clinic, a Private Pediatric office and a Corporate Wellness group. She currently has an article published in the Journal of Pediatric Nursing titled Peak flow monitoring in pediatric asthma management.
Samantha Lewis, FNP-C
Samantha Lewis, MS, RN, NP-C attended North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, GA, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, as well as her Master of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, as well as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia. Prior to joining Internal Medicine Associates of Johns Creek, she served as an Associate Clinical Instructor at the Auburn University School of Nursing and as a Staff Nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Heather Menees, FNP-C
Heather Menees, MS, FNP-C attended the University of North Georgia where she graduated summa cum laude with her Associate of Science in Nursing degree and Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner degree with distinction. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Memphis. Heather is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and also maintains membership with Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia. Her graduate research on childhood obesity has been accepted for publication in Advance for NPs & PAs. Heather resides in Cumming with her husband and their two daughters and is an avid runner.
